Like Manuel Wiltz said Netbeans is good and now oracle has an auto updating version of it bundled with Java 8 JDK
Intellijidea is also a good one or eclipse
Jcreator for Windows/Jgrasp for Mac
Im personally using and enjoying Netbeans that I got bundled with Java 8 on my new laptop but its all preference and theyre not too different except that Jgrasp and Jcreator feel more like a syntax and convention practicer since its not as automatic as current IDEs
