HTML is not a programming language, it's a descripting language... He was created to display statical web content at start, then was added the possibility of embeding scripts: javascript was the almost only language used/implemented there. But since the first hours, the Html ( and CSS, which is coupled ) descriptg language escape from internet browsers, and is sometimes used as view descripting language inside stand-alone apps ^^ ( edit: it doesn't matter the programming language used with )
