JavaScript is much easier to learn, but I must state that JavaScript and Java have absolutely nothing in common and are 2 completely different languages, despite the name suggesting otherwise.

If you are a TOTAL noob, then Javascript is hands down easier than Java.
However, if you already know some other programming language, it'll only be a matter of syntax for you, and the difficulty level of each language won't matter .

Definitely JavaScript if you're a beginner. It's easy to visualize things and connect things with HTML and CSS. It has a newer and more modern feel and is easy to read.

Js is easier because you only need basic knowledge of both HTML and CSS, why Java requires you to have pre-existing previous programming knowledge especially in OOP(Object-Oriented Programming).

There is no point in comparing them.
