What Would You Recommend For A Beginner To Learn?

Hello, I am trying to get into programming and the most common answer to this question I have seen so python. But can python be used to program 3D and 2D video games? Or is it a multipurpose language. What are some easier languages to learn for video game design?

I have some friends that do game design, and they have told me that C Sharp is the language they use to code in. I have heard that C ++ is also good, but I don't know that very well.

I personally started out with HTML to get the feel of coding. Python is a good language to learn and it's really fun to know, so it's also another good start. If you want to do coding for a living, Python is the language you'll probably want to learn, as professors and computer scientists have told me that Python is the most common language in use as of right now.
