What Would You Recommend For A Beginner To Learn?

Hello, I am trying to get into programming and the most common answer to this question I have seen so python. But can python be used to program 3D and 2D video games? Or is it a multipurpose language. What are some easier languages to learn for video game design? -Thanks

I have some friends that do game design, and they have told me that C Sharp is the language they use to code in. I have heard that C ++ is also good, but I don't know that very well. I personally started out with HTML to get the feel of coding. Python is a good language to learn and it's really fun to know, so it's also another good start. If you want to do coding for a living, Python is the language you'll probably want to learn, as professors and computer scientists have told me that Python is the most common language in use as of right now. Did that answer your questions?
