Calviղ I've never even heard of ProcessWire. It's been a few years since I've needed to use a CMS. In the past, I've done quite a bit with WordPress since most of my clients were familiar with it. Have you worked with WordPress as well? If so, how would you compare the two?

David Carroll I used to look for WordPress theme to build business websites, but I don't use it anymore. Although WordPress is easy to use, but I faced some challenges when my clients ask for more customization or adding modules later, I have to studied the wp theme that I purchased, and some of them are not quite well designed. And I don't build my own wp theme. In my business model, I found that ProcessWire more suits my needs. I could start from building static website and it's easier to incorporate the static website with ProcessWire cms later. My client like the backend that built from ProcessWire, I could present the backend with all the element updates they wish to handle later in simple way form. Since most of my client is not quite IT literate, they more prefer a "straight to the point" method, rather than understand the wp system works.

Calviղ Ah yes... WP Themes can be quite a mess to deal with unless you find a good framework. I mostly did custom plugins and WooCommerce implementations. I've also done a lot with multisite customizations. I'll have to review ProcessWire in the future should I need to put up a website quickly for a client.

David Carroll You could empower WordPress since you are a wp backend developers, build plugin you needed to. I might study more on building wp plugin in the future. Front developers like Angelo Montini and I would find that ProcessWire is more easier to implement, and faster time to turn a static website to a cms website.

Go with WordPress but when you get better you can use heroiku and can update your code directly from them and its not expensive for a domain from them
