If we talk about "dynamic" and "static" memory, what kind of memory are we exactly referring to?

Is only static (SRAM) and dynamic (DRAM) RAM meant by this? Or literally just in general dynamic and static memory? But that would mean there's static and dynamic parts in all kind of memories, no? Like in RAM, HDD's, SSD's etc?

Shkeeb ; afik ,everything is into RAM. implementation is what makes it static or dynamic partition... how management is done is segregated to different two parts like stack and heap.

Make sure your RAM/memory is compatible with the motherboard. Also keep in mind data rate, quantity (e.g. 2GB of RAM), laptop v. desktop, etc.
