It's not a matter of being the most powerful, programming languages are tools and each is powerful in its own way. Low level languages tend to be hard to learn and tiresome to code with, but they give you much more control over machines. That being said, and in my humble opinion which lacks a great deal of knowledge, I think python is the most powerful high level language since it can wrap and be extended by low level languages like C. It's the glue language after all!

Oh, this one’s easy! The one you need for the job. Kind of a silly question IMO

Programming languages are like tools in a tool box, you choose the one dependant upon your needs, for example, I wouldn't try to write a game in SQL. Every language has a place.

I want to tell you buddy first of all there is no programming language which we can say it is extremely powerful. Each and every programming language is powerful in its domain or we can say it's field. For ex: - If you want to create a game then I think python would be the worst language to choose. You can choose Java, C# or C++ for that. But if you have to deal with AI and machine learning, then No language is near to Python. It rocks there. So buddy I want to tell, go with that programming language which you will be using in the future in your field of programming. Bcz it will be the most powerful in that field.. Good luck buddy.

There is no such thing as a most powerful language, all languages were made with a specific need in mind, tailored and geared towards meeting a needed desire, no language can do it all hence no most powerful. We have popular once though, and another could come out before you finish reading this...

Programming languages are tools so it really depends on the project

Swift It would be easy to say JavaScript which probably would be true. however look at Swift it is only couple of years old and it’s popularity is growing at an incredible rate! Partly because Apple has released it but mostly because it is a very powerful and type safe language. It allows you to build Backend, Frontend. You can use the object oriented approach or functional programming. What I enjoy the most is that the code reads like English. When reading a well maintained codebase you know exactly what a function expects as a parameter and what it needs to return.

In my opinion Java is evergreen and now Python is powerful because of its increasing demands.

based on Turing theory, practically all languges are the same ( one can translate into the other(s)). Tere are more popular and less popular languages. the argue that simple or difficult is false because above a good level every language is difficult

Anyone who responds to this with an actual language is completely misguided by hype. Just because a large percentage of people use a language doesn’t make it THE most powerful language. It just makes it the most popular. The question should have stated “What will the most popular language be in 2019?” That is certainly how the masses have interpreted it.
