I’m not sure what you mean. Do you want to change from mechanical engineering to software engineering? Or do you want python just to help you with your mechanical engineering projects?

Oh okay. Well I think the best question you should ask yourself first is “What kind of software do I want to make?” Web? Native (PC or Mac or Linux)? Drivers? iOS? Android? ... When you know what you want to build, you can google what languages to use. But remember, the languages are just tools, you need to know the problem you want to solve before you can find an answer.

Python is a great language and it’s very powerful. I think it’s a great idea. You can find a job easy with Python. Just keep learning it and don’t give up. You can make it!
