What should I focus to learn to make a Custom Breeding Roller/Calculator?

I’m very new to learning code and I am looking to learn how to make a complex breeding calculator somewhat like in breeding sim games but with specific characteristics being rolled based on the parents’ characteristics. Is there anything anybody thinks I should specifically be working on learning to understand that might be more useful to focus on for this kind of calculator? Also should I do it in HTML5 or something else?

You could probably do it in any programming language, but html is not one of them :)
Html is a markup language that means it gives formatting and layout to content (text and pictures).
If you are completely new to programming, I recommend python because the syntax is easy to learn.
