what this charset will do...? what is its necessity for HTML5 ...? can any one explain it plzzzz..!!!!

This has been asked before. This tells the browser to expect all text to be encoded in UTF 8 which means it has basic support for other languages. With out this the browser assumes the page is in ASCII and will not render non English symbols correctly. This is considered a soft requirement for HTML 5 development because it makes your site a good citizen of the internet by including all people.
