How should I scale?

Question

I do daily web development using jQuery, to interact the client side, and IIS (VB.NET), to interact with the server. I usually develop web applications ground up from an empty folder. I feel like I should scale for better code performance and more effective resource management.

I have tried Angular7, but I don't feel like I have the need for it.

What libraries would you recommend me?
