What keyboard you are using now?
If its Gboard, Stop it, because somehow it return error

Btw i use TouchPal

iamnutty if it still slow, the keyboard want you to give it a clear memory

Disabled all personalised suggestions and auto correct. Then rebooted phone. A lot smoother now. Thanks.
