When it comes to general programming for learners, specs won't matter much, as long as it doesn't stutter every 5 seconds or take forever to compile something. P.S. How does it have 6gb of RAM? What ram stick does it come with? https://www.sololearn.com/Discuss/417754/?ref=app https://www.sololearn.com/Discuss/777037/?ref=app https://www.sololearn.com/Discuss/1050175/?ref=app https://www.sololearn.com/Discuss/1372077/?ref=app

I have found that it is always better to build applications for a given platform on a system that is at least on par with the target platform. According to the specific requirements Android Studio has your laptop will run AS. Visual Studio requires a quad-core or better to run. So the laptop will not be able to be used for that. Good luck
