How do i avoid the temptation of copy and paste or code reuse

With copyrights everywhere, with codes uploaded everywhere, i want to know how does one avoid the temptation of copying other peoples work on the internet and posting it on sololearn as their own just so as to gain xps etc. How best can i avoid code reuse as in copying your code editing it and using it as my own. I want to learn and move from beginner to pro that without any guilt of stealing ones work

How? It's hard to tell, but for starters it's usually enough to refrain from it by recognising that plagiarism is dishonourable, disgusting, and will eventually get you banned - which by then, XP will truly mean nothing.

What is the value of upvotes for your code if it isn't yours? What do you actually gain from it? Doesn't it feel better if you worked hard writing a good code and it's actually *your* work that is upvoted? (The whole upvote thing leads to quite random results but that's a topic for another day.)

If your goal is to really be a pro, then first realize that copying peoples code will not help you get there. You will not learn the way you would from doing it yourself. You may get higher xp, but in the end you are just fooling yourself. Better to have code you learnt from making, than a more impressive code you learnt nothing from. If you truly understand this you will not be temped to steal code.

Oh yeah, and how could I forget to add, that xp are really not a reason to copy code? Because the big money is somewhere else. ;-) https://code.sololearn.com/WouWz5g1A4ed/?ref=app

The trick is this: Do not do it. (I really think this thread should be rm'ed, it's attention- & XP-seeking BS. Rationale: I could post, "How do I refrain from killing KFC employees?")
