Sport table

Hi there! I'm new to the world of programming, just making my first steps. I'd love to make a sport table which will sort teams by earned points. Is Java enough to do so or should I use some additional languages? Or perhaps there are already any solutions? Thanks

Simple...just google and download soccer data... I like the CSV formats since they are easier to manipulate. Use your programming and soccer skills to compute extra data from the data. I have mine.. with a click of a button i can visualize tremendous amount of details about a team and can also web scrapp live scores and club news to name but a few.
