Learning java
After studying and learning java programming as much as I can. Am I alone here that I don't like it when someone says something like learning (xyz) or this part in java is "easy" or "simple". I find it not very helpful, nothing is really simple, life is complex, and learning something new is definitely a complicated process. What do people think?

Undoubtedly, the study of something new is not a simple process and requires additional efforts. But at the same time, it is still very interesting and fascinating. And the complexity inherent in the study, gives only an additional incentive. The main thing is not to become better, smarter than someone, the main thing is to surpass yourself. And this is possible only when you realize that you have been able to master something difficult, something that previously seemed to you superior to your abilities. You shouldn't feel dumber than someone, you should feel smarter than the person you were yesterday.🙂

Yes, you have to be able to relate to the beginner, and put yourself in their situation. Even with experience you can still make mistakes.

Fermi my question is about effective communication in teaching. Which ties into teaching programming. Using sentences like "learning variables is easy" is not an effective way of communicating. I think adjectives in this case is not helpful. I come across teaching material like this quite often. Prehaps, it would be better to just use straight forward communication. More like, this is variables, this is how you declare variables. Also I never said it was "hard" just complex, in which I stand by my statement.

I pesonally find it motivating and encouraging when they say the stuff you are learning is "easy". Not getting it from the first time generates additional stress and makes you to do more efforts in order not to feel totally dumb 😅
Though I can easily see how it can be annoying to somebody 🙂

I think the relative ease of learning something is to some extent dependent on your prior knowledge. So if you have never learned programming before, if you don't have a mentor it might be difficult. But if you have already learned another programming language before, it can be easy. So it's all relative.

Whatever skill you are mastering, the start may seem easy, because learning basics is not supposed to be difficult. Yet it is always more difficult to persist. A lot of people may say something is easy, but are they the ones who achieved something?

So.. what is your question, essentially? You think life is complex and hard and hence people who think Java is easy is bound to be wrong? That isn't very helpful either.

It all matters there .Where you put your attention is like where you put your energy.n you can only do complex things when u learn by inch in every moment of the time."yard by yard life is hard but at the inch its a cinch".that qoute sums it up.

Learning is process of gathering information, to find out something and understanding. People categories anything they learn easy, difficult, boring etc. This is their perception. What seem difficult might not be difficult for you and vice-versa. Having say that my perception, I believe in progressive. Look at the kid who learned to walk, talk. If something is difficult to learn, break it down. Make big problem small, and work out piece by piece. Peace 😁

Nothing is easy most of the things should start easy and get complex. Learning java gives your mind a challenge and when you overcome it then it's the real bliss

In Sololearn , Java course only covers the fundamental part. Java is a powerful language as it contains a lot of useful libraries. The best way is to explore them all. You can visit Javatpoint website to dig more in Java

You should consider taking breaks while learning.
