8/3 is 2 and and remainder is 2. So the answer there is 2. For example 10 % 3 is 10/3 is 3 and remainder is 1. The answer is 1.

It simply means the modular or the remainder obtained after dividing two digits Eg: 3%2 =1, 4%2=0,7%3=1
