For empty cycle

for(i = 0; i < a.length; a[i++] = 0)
Thith string from Flanagan book about javascript and empty function.
What does it mean a[i++] = 0 ? As i undestand a is array.
And how to use it in practise ?

it sets every value in 'a' to zero as far as I understand
