Is there any possibility to host a web app in his own computer like ASP.net (IIS) does?

Hello ! I would like to know if it’s possible to publish a web app (build on html & js) on the net and access it without doing the classic hosting method (domain, server hosting, ftp etc). Cause I want my app to be accessible periodically. Actually I found out a possible approch with ASP.Net, Web deployment by importing publish setting but only in Visual Studio. Would it be possible without VS ? Thanks

Yes thanks for the clarification. This option with Google Cloud seems to me to be a very good alternative.

Uhm, if by “wihout the classic hosting method” you mean you just wanna do it yourself the anawe is yea yiu can so this 100%, it isnt eveb that hard. youre just going to be the host and the server so theres no way around that. on the other hand, ive set up many in-home serverlike setups over the years, but now with things llke Azure and Google Cloud VMs, the time and expense of it isnt worth it anymore.

So i mean this with all due respect intended, but I actually bill people by the hour to “consult” on what youre asking about my friend. So im really just gonna have to repeat what i said before .... Google Cloud is your best option to start in my opinion, especially if the server is only up “periodically”. when you sign up they give you a $300 credit for 12 months. i started a free trial with them in feb. of this year and have had a VM webserver/sql server/docker container up 24/7 and ive used approx: 1.49 of that $300 credit using a low end, low traffic instance. now ine of the high end 96 core servers can run hundreds or thousands a month, but the lowest shared core 0.6 gb RAM vm is actually free for 750 hiurs a month before it incurs any costs. and its super straightforward to set up. just pay attention to the costs and dont accidently spin up a 500 a month beast and leave it running. if you do spin it up, just takenit down cauee it charges by the hour or by traffic use, not by instance.
