Is using BootStrap a good idea for building websites or should I use pure HTML and CSS to be a better web developer?

If you really determine to train yourself to be a better web developer, Don't Use Bootstrap.
Use @media to design responsive layouts you want.
If you good in css, you could design any css components you wish, including Bootstrap components.

If you really want to make an awesome, beautiful website using any framework; I'll suggest Materialize CSS. It's better than Bootstrap.
But the best practice is to make it yourself.👍

To be a good web developer, you've got to give bootstrap some distance and learn how bootstrap became bootstrap (i.e. learn CSS3), with that you can develop Your Own "Shoestrap" if you want...Lol😁😁😁

Bootstrap can do well if you want to finish a task really quick.
You don't always have to do everything from scratch even when you are a great web developer.

Calviղ Thanks for the best answer! Well! I've been practicing. I know about media queries but when it comes about flexbox and grid-system. I've learnt it through BootStrap. Is it gonna work?
