Php vs python, which is better?

On a lot of posts here I see people are always recommending php, but elsewhere I see python consistently growing and is apparently easier and stronger. Which should I learn?

It mostly depends on what you want to make
For developing games and applications use python.
For website use PHP.
In terms of popularity, python is most popular programming language use in many famous companies like Google,microsoft and Intel, etc.
If I had to choose between python and PHP
I choose python.
