Like in cricket there is bowler, batsman and all-rounder same thing goes here...so just like bowler & batsman shares 100% in bowling and batting respectively...and all-rounder shares his strength in both batting and bowling for simplicity 50% in each...so that's what in case of node.js and python happens

when it comes to handle real time data or data which requires a lot of input/output device access Node.js is the best environment because it manages these things very well by using only one thread and event loop concept...

But when you want language which can do everything then Python is there for you with some low performance compare to node.js when dealing with i/o intensive programs...and high performance when dealing with CPU intensive programs...

just extra information node.js is runtime environment for javascript just like JVM is there for java...And Python is Programming language which can also be used as a scripting technology...
