Javascript can store data on web browsers, client-side ( with 'cookies' and 'localStorage' ): you must verif and set a variable to display an hidden element on the top of your 'normal' page... Do not the contrary ( hide the introduction element if user was previously coming ): in case of no support of JS on client side, your page would stay innaccessible ^^ ( when in masking by default, if no JS at user browser, the 'normal' page is still accessible )...

When I said "If a private mode will be required", I was thinking "if I think it will be required, after starting to discuss in code commentaries section and showing me the necessity of a more private exchange" ^^
