C# and Videogames

Question

So I am currently learning C# e in order to work for video game companies, any advice on how to get better at it? Or any advice in general? My dad works on I.T. but he does not know anything in relation to coding with C# and I am currently on college studying informational studies if it helps understand my current situation..
