Study or work?

i am new to programming and currently i am a student of b.tech cse 1st year.
should i do some practical minor work like ms office, autocad etc. or just learn all first?
do I need paid tutions elsewhere or sololearn will help me out?

and return to sololearn
you can buy "Java how to program"
book and study it very well
