Which programming language has been created but still not used in implementing higher applications?

Nagaraj P I have a couple examples of those esoteric languages - Brainf*** - Malbolge - Pikachu Language Deliberately designed to be *terrible* There are many languages that used to be popular, but arent really anymore except in specialised cases or with legacy hardware/software I think COBOL qualifies for one of those. Assembly is still widely used so it doesnt count, however we dont code *big* programs with it

There may be hundreds in research labs that have not been put to practical use.

Search for esoteric programming languages and you will find hundreds of languages that have not been used and likely will never be used.
