I'm a beginner, what effort should i put in to understand the basics of python coding and developing applications.

you can simply take python course from sololearn then start study deeply from youtube but you should apply what you learn to understand the concepts of the lang.

I mean you install python on PC , and when start learning online you do like what you see in the tutorial so you'll never forget that
