Can I program Jframe on VSCode?

Question

Lately I started learning java, and I went through a lot of different IDE.
I am familiar to Microsoft coding environment like visual studio and visual studio code, an I know that visual studio code have extensions that support java, so I want to kno if it's possible to create create a Jframe (window form) on it.

you can, vscode is just a IDE/text editor. even simple notepad can be used to write swing.
note that one "write" no drag n drop.

So I'll need to have an XML extension also ?

not sure if there are any, you can look ot up though. or maybe you can start learning them yourself
