How to read the contents of a file with .swf extension? Can I use binary text reading in python?

You can search the net for SWF decompiler, but as I understand, even these utilities doesn't work 100% unpacking a binary SWF file.

.swf files are animation files created using Shockwave Flash. You cannot read its binary content to understand what's inside. Why you want to do this anyways? can you tell me?

Sorry, but is this file your own or not? I think you should have the raw sources at hand if you created the animation in the first place. You can make changes in the raw sources instead, no need to work on the binary animation file.
