What type of program that i can use to control robot/to do something?

i was wondering when i was learning programming; they didnt told me about robot controling
was i wasting my time learning about programming
pls tell me.

robots are different from artificial intelligence.

either way, programming helps.

if you want a self learning AI, look into deep learning, and neural networks. python has modules for it like sklearn and tensorflow

what do you mean by robot controlling?
what were you expected to learn?
You can control robots in infinite ways:
chose the one that fits you the most.
if programming will make it simplier to use you didn't waste your time.
If you ment to make an rc car model, most probably you wasted your time doing the programming course.

learn to use microcontrollers/Arduino and c++ to make something that resembles a "robot". I'm not sure about artificial intelligence though
