Why Android prefers Java to any other Programming languages?

Android studio primarily made for Java language.
When I search in Google, I came to know that Android is recommending Java than any other languages..

actually android, or Google to be more specific, recommends kotlin. The reason you find java more is that java has been android's primary language since it started. Kotlin is a newer language by Google to make android apps, if you look at newer posts in forums you'll tend to find Kotlin is used more often. Even on Google documentations you'll find mostly Kotlin and sometimes also java.
