Do I need to study Java to learn Kotlin?

Well, I know python 3, C and C++ and now I want to learn Kotlin, since it's very much like Java, I was wondering if it is necessary to learn Java before Kotlin?

If you know C++, Kotlin will be easy. If you plan on Android with Kotlin, you will need to read Java examples to code your Kotlin.

No, not necessary. But it you have time, it is adviced to learn java before.
