Exactly the same in maths. First parantheses, then multiplication and division and at the end addition and subtraction.

Argee with answer below, but wanted to add, that in the answer you get not 6, but 6.0 (float), bcs of dividing. If you want to sum 8/2 and 4, you can do like this: (8/2) + 4 # 8
