How do i upload my code and put it on play store

Although I have never done it and not completely aware of the process , I do know that you can't just upload your code to Play Store.
You have to upload a fully functional app , .apk I guess.
Also you should have a developer account to upload apps , charges being $25/month.
If you are interested , learn about Android Studio , and Google has a few tutorials up on their website for beginner android developers.
