Which one of the following language is more appropriate for competitive coding. Is it C,C++, Python,Java?

I would say C and C++ these two languages are more good to solve competitive programming. As most of the online compilers most of the times not support some of inbuilt function and give errors.

And many competitive or placements drives has used command line arguments which is quite more easier to do stuffs with C and C++

Java is too consideres to be used in competition but you have to take care and read about that platform compiler specification so you would more careful with using inbuilt function and other properties.

Python can be stuck you if you didn't have much knowledge of problems statement and not know python very well as some time small errors too take long time to be resolve and you have got limited time to solve so C and C++ is good to go with AI execution time is least for these languages which helps fast execution in complex problems but it's my views. It varies person to person when it comes to their comfert to use in competition.

For time limited algorithmic coding competitions C/C++ is the best choice!
