What is the difference of C# and Dot net (.net)?

I learn c# present time & would like to intermediate level. Please, someone give guide line, link or any source to learn intermediate level in C#.

C# (as well as Vidual BASIC) is so powerful since it can access the .NET framework. Think of the .NET framework as a cloud full of different lieces to help make professional programs. The prime example (and also my favorite) is text to speech; something extremely complex yet extremely well-made, however, only accessible with C# and Visual BASIC.
