Taking Lesson Shortcuts vs Not Taking Shortcuts

Am I waisting time by not using the shortcuts and doing all the lessons?

nope, you are not wasting time.
if you are really proficient at the language you probably won’t be doing the tutorial in the first place.
if you skip, you only get a short test which doesn’t really cover everything. skip something and you might miss handy important info.
last but not least, if you are at a level where you could skip parts but still need the tutorial, just do the exercises anyway. they won’t cost you much time at all then and you never know what you might learn. also repeating things is key to learning :)
