How can I make an image animate horizontally?

That's just two basic examples, wich could inspire you: an html image element can be animated as any html element trough css (and also through js, of course), as well as any svg image element could be animated as any svg (shape at least) element trough svg (and css too, and js obviously).

Animation through JS requires to be a bit skilled with this language, so for many, learning CSS or SVG animations would be easier ;)

Thanks Visph, but actually I wanted to use an actual picture (like a personal photo or something like that) for animation not SVG images.
