local minimum.
maybe one of you understand what it is? the number that is larger than all its neighbors.
for example,
3, 4, 5, 0, 7, 1.
Is the local minimum only zero? or is 1 also a local minimum? and 3 too?

3 has one neighbour
This is 4
All neighbours are larger

3 is a local minimum.
