Creating JavaFX registration and login screen - not allowed to use database

Question

Dear Reader,

I need to create a javaFX login and registration window for a school assignment. The user must be able to create a password and username to log in.

I am not allowed to use a sql database.

Does anyone know how that is possible?

Examples are much appreciated!
