Discussion: do you really think it is possible to create an artificial intelligence?

Question

I'm not talking about data collection or stuff like that, but a real AI that can actually learn and not just collect data.
In my opinion, that's not possible for today's computers, because all a processor can actually do is adding numbers and storing values. There should be a change in the hardware.
