Which language will be usefull for me?

Question

I’m a visual artist. I want to build a website that contains my paintings and informations about them. Maybe some videos like presentation of a painting. I don’t want to use stock html codes i simply want to design the site my own way. Basically i want an online museum of my paintings. What can i learn? What are your suggestions?

I know there is a lot to learn but i don’t mind a creative journey.

I just don’t know what are the steps. I will treasure your suggestions.

Hi, you are welcome to learn HTML.
HTML gives our website its internal organs. Then you learn CSS which serves like the shape (gives the style, how you want to place things and how).
You may need to learn JavaScript thereafter. JavaScript is like the muscles. It help to animate the site and make it interactive.

Point: You must learn HTML and CSS. These are twins who can't function without the other. Although HTML can stand without CSS, it will look very very unattractive. CSS can not exist on it own. Its like you have petrol without generator. How can you get light?.
But you can do without JavaScript.

So you wanna make a website there Are three parts frontend , backend , database
For frontend
Html is necessary
Css is used to make ur website attractive
Js is used to make ur website interactive
Some libraries like react.js angular js , vue js , jQuery, bootstrap is also advised to learn

For backend
U can use php or node.js or django all have their pros and cons

For database
U can use mongodb , Oracle , SQL

Json , Seo knowledge is advised

You can create the website you want with just HTML and CSS.

JME bro how could you host the website then ?? The images you see is only for your local host but how can you then make it searchable

Heartless thank you for your suggestions. I noted them. I know i can use wordpress but the goal is not just the website for me. I want to learn. Learning the nature of websites will give me more control over my work i think. Even though i know cant build a website on my own with this limited knowledge, i don’t want to jump straight in this world blindly. Thank you again.

JME Thank you too. Actually its not over complicated (i’m an engineering student in Turkey. they gave basic informations about coding but its very very basic) the problem for me is what are the steps. I know what are they or what is it for, but i dont know anything about them. I want to learn my steps and how to learn them. Thank you for your answers again. I will certainly learn them
