Metadata is mainly used for telling the search engine about your website to undone search engine rankings.

embed is used for embedding videos, though I think it was not actually meant for this

so charset is for encoding? then embedding of videos? and metadata is for search engine of your webpage....right?

Embed can use windows Media player or similar apps to play it. Charset is stored using hexadecimal Metadata for example could tell the user that your document is about zombie cat apocalypse.

Charset is encoding, Embed for an external (non-HTML) application. metadata tells you information about your data/work
