Switching career from accountant to programmer?? Good or bad

i am currently working as accountant having very good in excel tough tasks, from excel i very much interested in to learn how to make database applications erp softwares as per thr needs of different organisations., is the programming worth taking risk? ?? please guide

Start by applying programming to your accounting tasks. it will save you some time to invest in more learning.

I would say do not quit your current job but practice you're programming and when you know everything gradually integrate it in current line of work
