Challenge/versus games

Question

I feel like the challenge game is very heavily math based. I cant add numbers that quick with a timer, anyone else have trouble with them? And is there a quick way to solve these type of cose problems?

Unfortunately, it's same case for challenges in other languages (aside HTML, since it's a Markup Language). While math is an important aspect in programming, the way the challenges are heavily biased towards mathematical computation is a tad... less preferable. I understand that the aim is to see through the questions to comprehend the algorithm behind the codes, but if there were more questions pertaining syntax and computer organisation involving a certain language, that would be good.
