Is JavaScript the most friendly programming language for beginner?

One of the most... even jQuery is cooler :P but jQuery is based on javascript so that's better to know js first. Also you will have to know some html and css to complete it.

it is simple for learning how to work with functional programming, however make sure you at least have a working knowledge of html, and preferably css as well, both are needed to make good use of Javascript
