Best ways ti improve yourself in programing after university while searching for job as computer science engineer?

Hi, hope allí pf you are fine. This question is for all, lets try to give some ideas.
while I'm using linkedin, I resolve problems on hackerrank, leetcode too and reading about triple the.
I'm doing courses on udemy of full stack, sometimes there are some codes to get free interesting courses.
Thinking about pay some courses from edx about machine learning and big data but I don't know if it's worth it.

Best way to improve in *my personal opinion* is to either join an open source software development or apprenticeship. Why? because those involve real development experience and also introduce an individual to collaborative environment.

Challenges problems hardly involve real problem solving, apart from technical stuffs, or tricks introduced on how to do something in minimum lines of code written.

Purely a personal POV though ...

Also, seems to me, this is an open-ended topic, anyone came answering will have different saying ...
