How hard is to learn Java. And how long it takes?

Hard? If you have interest,go try it , else ,leave it.Time?Knowedge never ends, You can stop in 1 day or you can continue to learn till 60 yrs. Me , peesonally , I have spent 2 years on java and I still have A LOT to learn.Hope that helps. :-)

The answer for me is not the same as for you. My advice would be to try, and see what happens. As for how long it takes. The java language is evolving all the time, one can program in java for 10 years and still have something to learn. Try to set a goal for what you want to learn, and then see how long it takes you to get there :)

Java is vast..probably 1 month to learn the basics considering you spend 15 hours a week.. once you learn the basics, your learning pace will increase.

You never learn every bit of a language, as you go on you will discover little things you never knew or noticed before. It isn't that hard to learn. To get the basics of how it works it can take a few weeks. I hope you enjoy, Good luck!
