Android Development/androidjs

Hello all. So I have been looking into the idea of making a little android app for funzies and came to notice there is a mod thru NPM called androidjs and androidjs-builder which essentially allows you to make apps with the web stack and even some frameworks like Vue. I had been doing a little digging into Kotlin and realized, as interesting a language as it seems, that I dont think I can build an app with Kotlin or Java on my phone as it stands or without paying for some kind of app but know for sure I can run Node/NPM and build web pages. I build the starter project with the "ajs-builder" but ran into an issue while the apk was being generated. Was wondering if anyone had any success building a small app on a phone first off haha, if anyone had any experience with the mentioned libraries second and third perhaps any experience with builing with java or kotlin(mostly kotlin) on a phone in any capacity really. Any tips or ideas on how i might be able to get something going would be appreciated! :)

Why don't you go with super popular frameworks like flutter or react native? I don't understand what you are trying to achieve
