For beginners like u, i recommend u should learn js too, then u can create small projects like calculator, calendar, analogue clock, digital clock, stop watch, hang man game, guessing game, quiz game and there r many other small projects u can make with html/css/js.

Just do something simple with text - switching fonts, size, etc. Maybe create a form. Start small, and work up from there.
